About Nicole Perusse
Nicole Elizabeth Perusse is a certified hospitality service trainer and accomplished athlete. Born on January 25, 1995, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she currently lives in Andover.
Nicole has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments despite her young age. Apart from being a certified hospitality service trainer and former snowboarding champion, she is a ServSafe-qualified food handler and qualified CPR practitioner.
Educational background
Nicole started high school at Holderness School in Holderness, NH, and then transferred to Methuen High in Massachusetts.
In January 2013, she enrolled in Chelmsford High in time for her senior year. Her decision to transfer led her former alma mater to publish an article in the school paper imploring her to reconsider.
In January 2015, Nicole enrolled at the Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida. Enrolling in a new school in an unfamiliar city posed significant challenges, but it also exposed her to new ideas and inspiring people and helped expand her horizons considerably.
Nicole returned to Massachusetts and enrolled at the Middlesex Community College in Lowell. There, she completed a course in business management, which would prove to be useful for her later professional career.
Sports accomplishments
Nicole Perusse has a long list of sports accomplishments in softball, snowboarding, and tennis. She has played softball her whole life and has been a member of various USSSA. NSA and ASA teams.
In her freshman year in Holderness, Nicole was a varsity tennis player who competed in several USTA tournaments. She also received numerous athletic awards while at Methuen and Chelmsford High School. Nicole was also named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at a national competition.
In 2007, Nicole was the national champion winning gold in Boardercross. She was subsequently named a Sports Illustrated champion and was given a judges’ choice award after placing in the top 3 in all competitions.
Work experience
Nicole’s workplace achievements are just as extensive as her athletic accomplishments. From January 2015 to May 2019, she worked as a server and trained bartender at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
The work was physically and mentally demanding and often required long hours. A typical workday involved counterbalancing six or more tables and managing at least 20 guests. All the while, Nicole was expected to meet the restaurant’s demand for certain supplies throughout her shift.
In this high-stress and hectic environment, Nicole was expected to perform a variety of tasks at a high level of proficiency. But she rose up to the challenge admirably, displaying an exceptional multi-tasking ability that would characterize her work approach throughout the rest of her professional career.
During her employment at Longhorn Steakhouse, Nicole became quite adept at money handling, credit card processing, and supply management. She consistently managed to ensure customer satisfaction and even became a reliable trainer, helping team members learn the ropes in various areas of the job.
As a testament to her capability and professionalism, Nicole earned a bartending diploma and became a ServSafe-qualified food server.
From June 2019 to November 2019, Nicole worked as a sales associate for Verizon Wireless in Burlington. This was a significant career shift for her, having previously worked in food service. Even so, Nicole made the transition with ease, displaying an innate ability to assist customers, complete sales, and process returns.
Shortly after joining Verizon, Nicole managed to achieve‒and even exceed‒her individual sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). Her strong communication and conflict management skills proved highly effective at resolving customer concerns. She even managed to capitalize on sales opportunities such as promotions and special offers by drawing on customer feedback and her own personal observations.
Nicole’s efforts were rewarded when she was consistently named the top sales associate from the beginning to the end of her employment with Verizon Wireless.
From November 2019 to the present, Nicole has been working as a service waitress at Burton’s Bar and Grill in Westford. As in her previous jobs, she is expected to perform a wide range of demanding tasks for which she is ideally qualified.
Nicole’s responsibilities include processing orders and payments using POS system terminals and registers, handling multiple priorities, and learning new procedures. She also works as part of a team of professional food handlers and servers during important functions, following safe food handling and sanitation standards.
All this takes place in a fast-paced and often frenetic environment. Even so, Nicole again proved herself to be up to the challenge with her professionalism and extensive work experience.
Nicole was also recognized as the top salesperson for the Northeast region while working for Vector Marketing.
Charity and volunteer work
Nicole Perusse was an active participant in various March of Dimes campaigns from 2006 to 2012. Apart from winning awards for sportsmanship and athletic performance, she also played a key role in the organization’s fundraising efforts.
One project that was particularly close to Nicole’s heart was the Team Shelby campaign. This initiative was intended to raise funds for her then-infant cousin, Shelby, who weighed only one pound and ten ounces at birth.
Partly because of the team’s efforts, Shelby has grown up to be a healthy and accomplished young woman. As she looks forward to a long and successful life, she will hopefully draw inspiration from her strong, compassionate cousin, Nicole Perusse.
